Recently, Kenneth Fok attended the plenary session of the 2023 Zhongguancun Forum in Beijing. As a keynote speaker, he shared his insights on the development of the national digital economy and how Hong Kong can contribute to it.
Kenneth Fok believes that the global digital sports industry is developing rapidly. As a leader in Asia, China will continue to advance the growth of digital sports worldwide, thereby attracting diverse groups from different countries—especially inspiring younger generations—to participate more broadly in sports. Replacing conflict with athletic activities characterized by friendship, unity, mutual understanding, and fair competition will contribute to global peace and development.
At the 2023 Zhongguancun Forum - Global Digital Sports Industry Sub-Forum, the World Digital Sports Alliance (WDSA) was established. Moving forward, it will bring together ideas and contributions from all parties to jointly promote the vigorous development of global digital sports.
Digital sports are increasingly becoming an important way for people to experience and engage in sports. Technological advancements have injected new vitality into the sports industry. With the continuous innovation, development, and application of digital technology, new forms of sports—from the digitization of traditional sports to virtual sports, simulated sports, tech-driven sports, and digital-intelligent competitions—will flourish. Digital sports will also provide people with richer and more diverse sports experiences.
The establishment of the World Digital Sports Alliance will drive the development of the digital sports industry, lead its future direction, and inject new momentum into the construction of the digital economy.
