On April 27, 2024, the 2024 Zhongguancun Forum Annual Conference · The 2nd Global Digital Sports Industry Forum was successfully held.

Taking the opportunity of the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and France, this forum was themed "Global Sports and Cultural Exchange Driven by Technological Innovation." Over 200 representatives from international sports organizations, governing bodies, domestic and foreign tech companies, the sports industry, research institutions, and the media gathered to discuss the innovative integration and development of technology and sports.

WDSA President Kenneth Fok extended his warm congratulations via video on the successful convening of the forum and expressed his delight at the fruitful achievements in the digital sports industry over the past year.

Cai Yanjiang, ABU Director of Sports 

Cai Yanjiang, Sports Director of the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU), shared an overview of the current state of television sports digitization in the Asia-Pacific region.

Cai Yanjiang noted that the broadcasting and production levels of television sports in the Asia-Pacific region are at different stages of development. In terms of the digital industry's advancement, China is already at the forefront globally. Technologies commonly used in digital broadcasting, such as 5G, AI, and augmented reality, are already highly mature in China.

During a special dialogue session, Lang Ping, Vice President of the Chinese Volleyball Association, member of the FIVB Technical and Coaching Commission, and former head coach of the Chinese women's national volleyball team, shared in-depth insights on the topic of "Sports Technology Empowering Athletic Performance and the Digital Inheritance of the Spirit of Chinese Women's Volleyball."

Lang Ping expressed, "I hope to see deeper integration of sports and technology. Technological power can enhance our athletes' capabilities, including their competitive performance. I believe the prospects for technology-driven sports development are very broad."

This Global Digital Sports Industry Forum brought together numerous experts from across the entire industry chain, facilitating comprehensive sharing and discussions on technological development and application, sports IP, event operations, and digital sports marketing.
