Driven by the rapid development of digital technology, esports is steadily advancing from the Asian Games to the Olympic stage. The deep integration of technology and sports has demonstrated the enormous potential of digital innovation to the world. At the main forum of the Sports Service during the 2024 China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS), Mr. Kenneth Fok, President of the World Digital Sports Alliance (WDSA), was invited to attend and delivered an important speech sharing insights on the current status and future vision of the esports industry.

Currently, over 70% of the global digital sports market is concentrated in Asia, reaching more than 300 million digital sports enthusiasts. Esports and digital sports have not only significantly contributed to economic growth and job creation but have also created valuable opportunities for technological innovation and capital investment. Since its establishment last year, the WDSA has officially ushered in a new phase of global integration of digital sports resources.
Moving forward, the WDSA will actively lead the development of esports in Asia and globally, promote the implementation of inclusivity and sustainability in international competitions, and continue to deepen cooperation with the Beijing Municipal Government and relevant institutions. Together, we aim to support Beijing in becoming a leading international hub for global digital and technological innovation.
The future is here. The WDSA looks forward to joining hands with all sectors to create an even brighter tomorrow for esports!
