The Puyuan Esports Festival was held at Puyuan Ancient Town, Tongxiang, China, from 20 to 28 December 2025, bringing together esports, culture, and fan engagement in a vibrant festival setting. The Festival featured esports competitions showcasing popular game titles such as Honor of Kings, League of Legends, and CrossFire involving renowned esports clubs including All Gamers, Anyone’s Legend, Gen.G, and Invictus Gaming.

Beyond competitive gameplay, the Festival also hosted anime cosplay activities and fan meetings with professional esports players, creating an immersive experience that highlighted the strong integration of esports, culture, and tourism within China’s rapidly growing digital sports landscape.

On the sidelines of the Festival, the Puyuan Esports Summit was held on 28 December 2025, serving as a key platform for dialogue among esports industry leaders across Asia. Mr. Jeff Lam, Marketing Director of the World Digital Sports Alliance (WDSA), was invited to attend the Summit.

The Summit brought together leaders from across the esports ecosystem to exchange perspectives on the latest industry developments and preparations for the upcoming 20th Asian Games. For WDSA, the Summit was an important opportunity to deepen engagement with China’s esports ecosystem, strengthen relationships with local stakeholders, and reinforce its role as a bridge connecting China and the wider Asian digital sports, esports, and technology markets.

During the Summit, Mr. Lam engaged with key stakeholders, including representatives from the Asian Electronic Sports Federation (AESF), National Esports Federations, and leading game publishers such as Tencent, Krafton, Moonton, and NetEase. These engagements provided valuable opportunities for in-depth discussions on ecosystem development, event collaboration, and regional initiatives. Mr. Lam also introduced WDSA’s business network and strategic partnerships in China, welcoming both Chinese and international organizations and enterprises to explore collaboration opportunities and international expansion through WDSA’s global platform.

Commenting on the Summit, Mr. Jeff Lam said:

“China plays a leading role in the global esports and digital sports ecosystem. The Puyuan Esports Summit provides an important platform for building trust, aligning visions, and exploring practical cooperation between Chinese stakeholders and international partners to support the long-term development of esports across Asia.”

In addition, WDSA and the Puyuan Esports Festival Organizing Committee will continue discussions toward closer cooperation in future events. Looking ahead, WDSA aims to work closely with Chinese partners to support high-quality events, cross-border collaborations, and ecosystem development, while continuing to play a gateway role in connecting China with Asia and the global digital sports, esports, and technology industries.
