Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, 31 March 2026 – The World Digital Sports Alliance (WDSA) and the Malaysia Electronic Sports Federation (MESF) have formalised a strategic partnership, marked by the signing of a memorandum between WDSA General Secretary, Mr. Sebastian Lau, and MESF President, Mr. Muhammad Naim Al Amin Bin Saharudin, at the MESF office in Puchong. The partnership aims to promote collaboration and support mutual growth within the electronic and digital sports industry. Also in attendance was WDSA Marketing Director, Mr. Jeff Lam.

Under this partnership, both parties will exchange invitations to participate in global electronic and digital sports events, while also working closely to explore opportunities to host international competitions in China and Malaysia.

During their visit, Mr. Lau and Mr. Lam were also introduced to Esports Integrated Malaysia, a central body for the development of esports in the country, and were welcomed by Mr. Naim.

In his remarks, Mr. Lau commended MESF for its leadership in advancing Malaysia’s national esports programme, noting that the country’s esports ecosystem has established a reputable presence on the international stage. He further emphasised that digital sports, particularly in the areas of AI and emerging technologies, are a key focus for WDSA. Through this partnership, he highlighted the importance of building strong bridges between the two countries to enable closer collaboration, meaningful knowledge exchange, and the sharing of expertise to drive mutual growth.

WDSA looks forward to working closely with MESF through this partnership to further strengthen bilateral relations and deliver impactful international esports and digital sports initiatives as well as events.
